cybermu-bot is the automated fetcher behind cyber.mu, a non-commercial, personal public-interest project — no company, advertising network, or other affiliation. It republishes public Mauritian data (fuel prices, weather, outages and more) with attribution and a link back to the original source on every page.

Who this is
cybermu-bot is operated as part of cyber.mu, run on Mauritian infrastructure. It is not run by, and carries no affiliation with, any company, agency, or network — the same non-commercial framing that governs the whole site.
What it fetches
Only the public source pages listed in each dataset's own documentation — never anything requiring a login, and never personal data. The full, live list of datasets and their fetch cadence is public: cyber.mu/status
How it behaves
It honors each site's robots.txt, fetches at most one request per second per host (1s between requests to the same host), uses conditional GET (If-Modified-Since / ETag) so unchanged pages aren't re-downloaded, and backs off on 5xx responses instead of retrying immediately.
